Kindermusik Class

Today was our first day or Kindermusik and the babies loved it! Laney is the observant one of the two and this was right up her ally. She wahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifs in the best mood (she was being held!) and she would just watch all the other kids. Dellan was smiling and getting in on the action of course! Nana went with us today since Daddy is out of town. Two of our neighbors and friends were in the class as well. It was fun to see so many kids their age and good for them socially. I am hoping to meet a few moms as well! We started the class by introducing ourselves and babies around the room. My monsters were HUGE compared to all the other 6 month old babies... and I think Dellan could take some of those one year olds too :0) As you can see, Laney was having a ball...

Little Monsters

The babies outgrew their baby hooded bathtowels and all of them at Babies R Us seem to be the same small square. I found these fun monsters today that are the perfect size and oh so cute! We got a shark and alligator as well, I'm sure there will be photos of those shortly. Seriously, could he get any cuter?!?!







The babies make and do the funniest things, but of course it is impossible to catch on camera. Today I got a picture of Deemie's "scary face" totally by accident. This is his face when he is really really excited (usually accompanied with wildly kicking feet).





We took a walk to the pool to use our new towels.

Happiest babies on the Block

If you had told me at 7 weeks I would have babies as happy as mine, I would say you were crazy. Everywhere we go the number one comment is, "They're such happy babies." We really are blessed with two happy (and adorable if I do say so myself!) babies.

My little gymnast

Laney likes (has always liked) to bend herself in all sorts of directions. The minute she hits the crib she instantly bends herself into a backwards C shape and turns her head to sleep. She will actually stay that way throughout her nap! I am amazed her back will bend backwards so much. Today she was showing her moves on the playmat. This is a half arch, but you get the idea. She also has this new face when she is really happy or excited she will open her mouth and make the face below. So funny. It makes me laugh outloud every time.

Sucking

The kids are in full I-will-suck-or-drool-on-anything teething mode. This morning I glanced over the couch and Dellan had rolled on his stomach and was holding Laney's foot with both hands sucking her toes. Ew! But she didn't seem to mind. Of course, the second I got the camera out he moved and smiled, but he still as a hold of it.








Laney has taken to sucking her thumb. She definitely prefers the binkie, but if she can't find one or get it in her mouth the right way she instantly turns to her thumb. Pretty cute!

Off the Charts!

We had our 6 month doctor appointment today and everyone is great... just huge! Laney is off the charts now for height and weight. She is a big girl... but proportionate :0) She weighed in at 19.5 pounds and 28 inches long. Her head is the 95th percentile. Deemie caught up in length and is 28 inches 20.5 pounds. He is the 95th percentile in both with a 97% head! He is wearing a 24 month or 2T size hat! The appointment was through nap time, so by the time we got home the kids were out. This is how they ate lunch before being transferred to cribs

Best Buds

Elyse and Isaac came over to play today. He is only 7 weeks old and makes my monsters look huge! I think 10 of Izzy's thighs couldn't make up one of Laney's! It is so nice to have friends over. We can't wait for all the fun we know these two little guys will have together in the future.

Happy Half Birthday!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

I left the room the other morning with Laney in her Nap Nanny and Dellan on the playmat next to her. I was in the kitchen a couple minutes and returned to see this! D had rolled and scooted himself off the mat through a small opening and onto the hardwood floor (except his head thank goodness) and was happily watching TV.
